TALKS WITH GUEST SPEAKERS
The Rector’s Forum is a place to stick around after church, grab a cup of coffee, and dig a little deeper into the Christian faith together. On select Sundays, we gather for engaging conversations about Scripture, theology, worship, vocation, mission, and what it means for the gospel to shape our lives. Some weeks you’ll hear from our clergy; other weeks we welcome guest speakers, ministry partners, and interesting voices from across our parish and our city.
The Rector’s Forum meets in Olmsted Hall on select Sundays following the 11AM service. Drop in and join the conversation!

RECTOR'S BIBLE STUDY (ONLINE)
Throughout the year, the Rev. Jacob Smith offers 10-week online sessions on a different book of the Bible. The next series will start on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 7:30PM and will be on the catholic epistles. Come learn that Christianity is not a new religion, but the fulfillment of a very old one!

STUDY (IN PERSON)
WEEKLY MEETINGS WITH

This new Bible Study, held in person Tuesday evenings 6:30PM - 8PM, will be based on the scripture texts allocated by the Revised Common Lectionary used in each week’s Sunday worship; or as these texts are more simply known, our Sunday readings! Each week is a stand alone unit, and no particular knowledge of the bible is necessary to join this study. You are welcome to come as, and when, you are able.
As the Psalmist so eloquently tells us, studying the scriptures is a lamp that illuminates our path in life. We Anglicans believe that scripture is the word of God that contains everything necessary for our salvation. As the word of God, regular study of scripture has the power to inspire and energize our lives of faith. Rich and enlightening conversation around scripture allows us to hear and glean understanding of God’s revelation through the collective wisdom that connects and shapes our shared narrative of faith.
WEEKLY GUIDED DISCUSSION
MEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Beginning this fall, John Asirvatham will host a new weekly men’s Bible study on Tuesday evenings 6:30PM - 8PM in Anderson Hall at Calvary Church.
We will begin with the book of Genesis, slowly working through it one passage at a time. Together, we will read closely, talk openly about what we find, and trace how Genesis anticipates Jesus the Messiah and his work of making all things new. We will get as far as we get.
The hope is simple: to become better readers of Scripture, to see Christ more clearly, and to build real friendships with one another along the way. No previous knowledge or preparation is required. Bring a Bible, or use one of ours, and join the conversation. Enter at 61 Gramercy Park North. Doors open at 6:30PM; bring dinner if you would like. The discussion begins at 6:45PM.

TABLETALK
TableTalk is a place to share a meal, talk about faith, and get to know people at Calvary-St. George’s. On Thursday evenings, we gather for dinner followed by a short teaching, small-group conversation, and prayer together.
This fall, we’ll spend nine weeks following the story of Abraham throughout the Bible, seeing how God’s promises hold him through both faith and doubt, and discovering how those same promises—fulfilled in Christ Jesus—hold us through the course of our own lives.
Whether you’re new to Christianity, have been around church for years, or simply want to go deeper in Scripture and find community along the way, there’s a seat for you at the table.
TableTalk meets Thursday evenings 6:30PM - 8PM in Olmsted Hall at St. George’s Church. Dinner is provided!
