ARTS AT THE PARISH
THEATER, MUSIC, ART & LITERATURE
In the spring of 2024, Calvary-St. George's launched Arts at the Parish, an exciting program that invites industry professionals who are members of our community to host various events including concerts, theater performances, art gallery tours, and much more. These events are open to anyone who has an interest in the arts. All upcoming events are listed on our calendar.
YOUNG ADULTS
EVENTS FOR 20s AND 30s
Young adults have a special place here at CalStG! Led by John Asirvatham, we organize special events and meetups for young adults who are in their 20s and 30s. Past events include group visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Queens Food Festival in Corona Park.

THE EDEN SOCIETY
GARDENING CLUB
Have a green thumb? Seeking fellowship? We welcome you to join The Eden Society! The group meets every Saturday (depending on weather) to spruce up the parish grounds. No special experience is necessary, and we provide all of the tools needed. Please wear comfortable, close-toed footwear!
BOOK CLUB
INSIGHTFUL READS + DISCUSSION
The book club meets once a month and alternates between fiction and non-fiction. Recent selections include Tom Holland's Dominion, Abraham Heschel’s The Sabbath, John McPhee's The Crofter and the Laird, Paulette Jiles’s News of the World and Michael Ondaatje’s The English Patient. In the summer, we often tackle a longer read like George Eliot’s Middlemarch.

WISE & WONDERFUL
MONTHLY LUNCHEON FOR SENIORS
On the first Wednesday of every month, we invite the wisest of our parish to join us for a catered luncheon following our 12:10PM Wednesday service in Calvary Church. See our calendar for upcoming sessions.
