Creative Arts Camp, established in 2009, is a week-long afterschool camp open to elementary and middle school kids from all over the city. We learn about a story of the Bible through song, storytelling, shadow puppets, and crafting.
We utilize a Storymakerszine, bible curriculum developed in and used by our own parish. Each chapter includes vibrant visual art, a Bible story told as a play, thoughts to ponder, fun facts, social-emotional processing and creative activities. We believe it is a unique and creatively balanced approach to engaging with God’s story.
On Friday at pickup, the children perform their camp song, parents enjoy the camp video featuring footage from our week, and the middle schoolers perform the play.
