The Parish Administrator supports all ministry areas for the parish; serves as a point of contact for those seeking information; coordinates activities and information between staff, ministry leaders, parishioners and other groups; manages the parish office; performs other tasks at the direction of the Rector.
Reports to: Rector
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
WORSHIP | Work with clergy, director of operations and other staff members and volunteers to make preparations for regular and special worship services:
Answer the phones and all primary church e-mail account, and serve as primary greeter to all office visitors.
Coordinate, schedule, and support lay ministries (Ushers, Readers, Acolytes, Altar Guild, Prayer Ministry, Senior Ministry).
Provide information about connect cards, baptisms, weddings, funerals etc. to appropriate clergy and staff.
Coordinate with clergy and lay ministers for pastoral care of those seeking assistance, hospital visitations, and other pastoral issues connecting those in need of care (Pastoral Care Ministry).
Be the primary contact and organizer for specific events (Kick-Off Sunday, All Parish Christmas Party, St. George’s Day, etc.).
Manage liturgy and production of Bulletins for Sundays and all special services.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION | Work with clergy, director of operations, and other staff members to create a warm and orderly office:
Serve as office manager for the church, ordering and maintaining office supplies.
Prepare staff meeting and communicate with church committees including Vestry.
Maintain church master calendar of services, events, meetings, etc.
Work with the volunteer archives team and respond to incoming archival inquiries.
Manage all incoming and outgoing mail, FedEx, UPS, etc.
Serve as systems administrator for the church membership database and maintain records membership.
Assist the Rector in the management of his calendar, helping handle often-sensitive information.
Oversee the communications calendar and publicity of parish events in Bulletin.
