Communication and Print Production Manager

The historic parish of Calvary-St. George’s Church is currently in search of a Communication and Print Production Manager, who is able to visually articulate the parish’s mission. The candidate will be working collaboratively with an energetic and creative team that works together for the purpose of continuing the legacy of one of the oldest churches in Manhattan.  The Communication and Print Production Manager will visually communicate the mission of Calvary-St. George’s through social media outlets, print, and online material.  

Duties of the position include:

Design and Layout - Oversee design and layout of weekly service bulletins, create seasonal pamphlets, update seasonal imagery for all programing. In addition work with the communication team to create visuals for the website and announcements when needed.

Social Media and Digital Design - Oversee Facebook, Instagram, and twitter accounts, posting on each platform as directed. Be comfortable writing an engaging sentence or two to accompany posts. Use visual design to edit photos, and add text as the medium dictate.

PR and Outreach - Be in communication weekly with new and existing outlets. In addition, facilitate good communication between the local and wider community within New York City (i.e.. blogs, newsletters, newspapers, online religious organizations, community groups)

Physical Signage - Design physical signs for events and ongoing programs for the interiors and exteriors of the parish. Utilize companies such as Vista Prints for large scale posters and in house printers for smaller signage.  

The ideal candidate will be familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Squarespace, Constant Contact. Works well with the community and is able to work collaboratively with a team. In addition, able to visually communicate information, become familiar with historical + religious imagery, and continue to strengthen the branding of Calvary St. George’s Church.
