YOUTH & FAMILY

“ HE SHALL COVER YOU WITH HIS FEATHERS AND UNDER HIS WINGS YOU SHALL TAKE REFUGE.” PSALM 91:4

At Calvary-St. George’s Church we know that spiritual formation begins with our youngest members. The programing we offer is focused on communicating to our children that God is FOR them, FORGIVES them, and is WITH them always. Our SundaySchool program is designed to connect with children of all ages, and developmental abilities.

Family programing starts in infancy and goes through young adult hood. Our talented team of volunteers warmly welcome our youngest members and communicate each Sunday that they are loved, and forgiven through each of our programs. Each of our volunteers are enthusiastic, patient, kind, and have experience working with children. Consider participating in the program that meets the needs of your children.

Sunday School Classes

Our Pre-K - Kindergarten class, " Under His Wings" approaches spiritual formation through interactive storytelling and play.  Our primary focus is to create positive experiences as our youngest learners begin to engage in God's great story.  For many children this is their first introduction to church.  Our objective is for our little ones to know that God created them, loves them, and hears then in their prayers.

Our First through Third graders, " The Fearless," begin to memorize verses, navigate thr Bible and discover what it means to be a Christian.  The themes we explore are FAITH, GRACE, & COMPASSION.  Our objective is for children to know whtat they have a God that understands them and forgives them, therefore they have NOTHING to FEAR.

Our fourth-sixth graders, " The Rejoicers," delve deeper into the Bible and the overarching narrative of God's grace for sinners.  Our hope for each participant is to know themseves as RECEIVERS of God's grace. ‚Äč

PLEASE NOTE: During Sunday School, children will be working with paints, markers, crayons and glue. Please dress your children appropriately (smocks will be available). Please note we are a NUT FREE zone, if you are interested in sending a snack with your child to Sunday School, please keep this in mind.

If you need to be in contact with the parish regarding family programing please contact our church office number at 646 723 4178.

CALSTG YOUTH CORPS: St.Gs & Calvary

Middle School through High School:Join our youth corps as Teens discover what it means to be apart of a local and broad church.  Our Youth Corps will explore Faith in service of our Neighbor by participating in the church through our various ministries.  When a young teen joins they will find themselves serving  in the capacity of Acolyte, Sunday School Assistants, Church Announcements, and Exploratory Bible Brunches.  Together as we grow in Faith, our hope is to broaden our teens experience in the church so that they leave church with a deeper knowledge and understanding of why we do what we do.  We serve out of the Forgiveness and Mercy given to each member of the Christian Body.

To join sign up with Josh Encinias.
